I have two ways of approaching this. The first option is to ink directly onto the wall space. The second is to install a digital wallpaper of my bespoke artwork onto the wall. The latter is ideal if my being onsite for a number of days may pose any problems, as a digital wall paper instal- lation can usually be done in a day.
Below are ballpark breakdown of costs for both mural styles, based on typical sizes as shown (4 x 2.5meters). My daily rate is £350.00 a day
Option 1: Mural inked directly on to wall space
After our initial meeting, and discussing your requirements, I will then provide two detailed pencil sketched concepts for you to choose from. This will include one round of free changes. Any further changes after that are charged at £40.00 per hour.
4 days concepting, including final sign-off = £1,400
Between 6 to 10 days inking on to wall = £2,100 to £3,500
Drawing materials (No charge)
Total: £3,500 to £4,900
Option 2: Mural digitally printed on to a robust coated wall paper and installed
In terms of price and process, this route doesn’t differ greatly from option 1. After creating the artwork, a high-res studio shot would be required for it to be printed on to the digital wall- paper for final installation.
4 days concepting, including final sign-off = £1,400
Between 6 to 7 days inking = £2,100 to £2,800
(Creating the artwork at a smaller scale) = £600 to £1,000
Printing on to digital wall paper and installation Drawing materials (No charge)
Total: £4,100 to £5,200
I would require 20% of the total cost, once pencil sketches have been approved
Obviously, if your space is larger or smaller than the examples shown. Then the prices would vary accordingly. This is only a guide.
Travel expenses and overnight stays, if needed, would be factored in separately. Although, I do have a place where I can stay if you’re London based, free of charge.
